Android 18, originally named Lazuli when she was a regular human, is the older twin sister of Android 17 and the youngest creature of Dr. Gero.

She is the eighteenth android created by him, designed to serve Gero's revenge against Goku.

Although her interests initially do not deviate from this expectation, her curiosity to activate Android 16, despite Gero's orders not to, causes Android 17 to rebel.
