Town of Light is inspired by true stories, real locations, intensive research into various mental illnesses and the lives of patients in mental hospitals until their closure.

Play through the eyes of Renee, a 16-year-old girl suffering from symptoms of mental illness. She was searching for answers to many questions from her past, while exploring the place where she spent most of her youth.



Guide Renee through a dark and emotional journey where the lines between fun, storytelling and reality blur. Explore the asylum in the present day and discover the good and evil in human nature.

Based in Tuscany, Italy, the asylum was closed in the late 1970s by an Italian government law requiring all asylums to close and restore their civil rights to patients.
