Characteristics:

- Fight alongside or against history's greatest leaders, such as Julius Caesar, Spartacus and Hannibal, to expand or destroy the Roman Empire.
- Lay siege against the Romans as Attila the Hun, fearsome Saxons or other savage factions using specific weapons and abilities.
- Command legions of warriors in epic cinematic battles with thousands of soldiers on screen at the same time.



- The campaign spans a century and tasks players with strategically managing the economic, civil, religious and military arms of their empire.
- Cities have a variety of buildings that can be built or upgraded, such as temples and amphitheatres.
- In the campaign, players complete objectives on a map that encompasses most of Europe, North Africa, and the Near East.
