Ariel is a young and stubborn mermaid, bored and dissatisfied with the life she leads in the sea.

One night, Ariel and her friend Flounder go to the surface to see the fireworks organized on the occasion of Prince Eric's birthday.

As the party ends much faster due to a violent storm, and the ship on which the prince is sinking, Ariel ends up saving the handsome Eric.

The mermaid disappears before the prince wakes up, but Eric remembers as if in a dream the wonderful song of little Ariel.
