Ben is an intern at Waterfall Ranch and always has an anvil, tongs, and a hammer handy.

He checks and cleans the hooves before lighting the coal in the forge to prepare everything for the shoeing.

Individual horseshoes and horseshoe nails are custom made for each animal.

It's not always easy, but by the end of the day, Ben has fitted the Waterfall horses with new horseshoes.

His mustang stallion Achilles, which Ben has tied up in the paddock for the horseshoe, now has blind faith in him.

Waterfall's former farrier, who rarely visits the farm due to his age, entrusted Achilles to Ben's care.
