HAzel Iversen, nicknamed "Swan", Is the new prince of the Boston Camarilla, hiding his severe temper with a gentle demeanor, Hazel seeks to prove his power and ensure compliance with the vampire law called Masquerade, which is based on keeping hidden from humans of these creatures that walk in the night.

But nothing goes according to plan, and amid rumors of conspiracy, murder, and power struggles, she must work in the shadows to protect her cult from the investigations that have thrown Boston into chaos.
