Sadness wants to be more optimistic and help in trying to make Riley happy, but it's so hard for her to be positive. Sadness is a protagonist in the Pixar film Inside Out.

She is a playable character in Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition, Sadness' long-range attack is to throw blue memory spheres. She is also the only one of the five emotions that can pass through the clouds without them disappearing.

When she dodges, she rolls on the ground, her special move is to hover in the air and send a wave of blue energy in front of her to destroy enemies.
