Denji is the main protagonist of the Manga and Anime Chainsaw Man series.

In childhood, he inherits his father's debts to Yakuza. After meeting Pochita, he becomes a Demon hunter for Yakuza, in an attempt to pay his debts.

Once Yakuza, under the control of a devil, betrays him, he dies, and his heart becomes his heart.

Then he is restored to life and can become Chainsaw eating a cord on his chest.

After meeting Makima, he becomes a devil hunter for public safety, as a member of the Special Division 4 in Tokyo.
