Christopher George Latore Wallace, better known by the stage names The Notorious B.I.G., Biggie Smalls, or simply Biggie, was an American rapper.

Rooted in East Coast hip hop and especially gangsta rap, he is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.

Wallace became known for his distinctive way of delivering laid-back lines, offsetting the often somber content of the lyrics.

His debut album, Ready to Die (1994), was met with widespread critical acclaim and included his signature tracks "Juicy" and "Big Poppa".
