Bender Bending Rodríguez is one of the main characters in the animated series Futurama.

He was created by series creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen and is voiced by John DiMaggio.

He plays a comical, anti-hero role in the series and is described by his co-star Leela as an alcoholic, chain smoker and gambler.

According to the character's story, Bender was built in Tijuana, Mexico, his name being a reference to bending in Mexican maquiladoras.
