The concept of this statue is inspired by the alternate cutscene that can be unlocked by first completing the Artorias of the Abyss DLC content before facing Sif.

During the alternate scene, the player character falls back as the Great Gray Wolf Sif slowly approaches them, and she will remember their familiar scent.

As the player character reaches out for Sif, the grieving wolf will let out a loud howl just before raising the Greatsword of Artorias drilled into the ground to reluctantly face the player character.
