Driver 76 is an exclusive Driver game for the PSP. It was released on May 8, 2007 in the US and 3 days later in Europe.

It acts as a prequel, set two years before Driver: Parallel Lines. It was the first game in the series to be released on the PSP, developed by Ubisoft Reflections and Sumo Digital.

True to the brand's spirit, Driver '76 is a driving action game that features Hollywood-style car chases while allowing the player to experience the open environment on foot.

The game throws the player into the heart of the 70s through 27 missions divided into six main storylines.

Players can accept side quests, earning money that can be used to modify their cars.



Characteristics:

- The mission structure is similar to Driver: Parallel Lines, where driving is an important aspect of the gameplay, but shooting still remains in the game.
- Most missions are based on driving, while some are shootouts or when Ray sits in the back of a car and shoots the approaching enemies.
- There are 26 main missions, grouped into 7 chapters.



- Money, cars and weapons are rewarded if missions are successfully completed.
