- Returning modes include Free Play Mode and Training Mode. Dropped mods include the "Groove Circuit/Arena" mod. This has been replaced by Tournament Mode.

- The use of hand markers has been removed from Free Play Mode. These still exist in DDR School and Hypermove Mode, but are called Punch Markers.
